Billy has been skating since she was 4 years old. She loves the way skateboarding allows her to express herself and pushes her to learn new skills and grow in confidence. She loves being part of a supportive skate community, making new friends at skate comps and meet ups.
Billy is passionate about sharing her love of skateboarding with others. At her local skatepark 'Redcliffe Skatepark' she holds beginner skateboarding workshops supported by Skate Connection. She also runs lessons for new skaters. This year her goal is to continue to spread the love of skating, particularly to girls. She also plans to use the funds she's raised from her skate lessons to sponsor a Cambodian student to go to University.

Dani Campbell is a skateboarding enthusiast originally from Wollongong now residing in Gold Coast Australia. As a member of Songline Skateboarding, they embark on journeys across Australia, spreading joy and passion for skateboarding. Beyond tricks and flips, they aim to inspire and bring purpose to troubled youth while fostering lifelong friendships along the way.

From Redcliffe, QLD emerges Jack, whose skateboarding journey began at 5 years old. After quickly mastering all disciplines - street, park and vert - jack found his heart lies in street skating. Securing a 2nd place in Australian under 12s division (street) in both 2019 and 2020, Jack harbours dreams of competing in the 2028 Olympic Games. At just 16 years old he cinched the 2nd spot in the Opens Mens category at 2022-23 Rumble Competition, marking another milestone in his journey.

Introducing Jake Thatcher, hailing from the sunny shores of Gold Coast. With recent impressive performances, including a finalist spot in the ASF Bowlzilla 2023 and securing second place in both the ASF Bowlzilla 2022 and QLD Bowl Championships 2022 in the Open men's category, Jake is making waves in the skateboarding scene.

Meet Zahra Johns, a skateboarding prodigy hailing from Newcastle, Australia. With an impressive 8 years of experience on the board, Zahra's passion lies in tackling corners and hips in the bowl. Renowned for her ability to execute long grinds, skate with blistering speed and launch massive airs over the hips, she is a force to be reckoned with. With aspirations of turning pro, she is determined to leave her mark on the skateboarding world.

Kai Lucas for Skate Connection

KAI LUCAS

Kai Lucas is a park orientated scooter rider born and raised in the Gold Coast with 3 years of experience. Along the way he has competed in many ASA competitions placing first in a qualifier and making it to nationals in 2023. A goal of Kai’s is to continue progressing through comps, along with helping younger riders get into the sport and learn new tricks. Progression is what keeps Kai going, while riding his favourite skateparks Beenleigh and Pizzey. These parks provide the ramps he loves such as big boxes as well as quarters. Watching his friends get better every day push him to do the best that he can in the sport.
