Having been in the local South East Queensland skate scene for over 5 years, Skate Connection is enjoying interstate growth having opened their latest locations in the Newcastle area.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Digital Designer / eCommerce Coordinator to join our Skate Connection crew.
Reporting to the General Manager, your goal is to maximise conversion rates, create & enhance web content, increase traffic to the website and satisfy customers to maximise online sales. Focus areas include delivering effective, on-brand, on-strategy creative for our ecommerce website and eDM program, online promotions and sales reporting. Part Time position 20-25 hours / week. Working from either Gold Coast or Brisbane area.
Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage and produce the design and production for websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, email campaigns, and email templates.
- Ensure aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards.
- Translate marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs.
- Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points.
- Provide design support to other business lines to create product graphics, logos, identity design, or other similar offline graphics.
- Work closely with the business owners to develop marketing campaigns and promotional activities that deliver on the brands campaign objectives.
- Execute promotional activities accurately within deadlines to ensure websites are aligned with store activity.
- Analyse & report on key ecommerce metrics and use these metrics to make merchandising decisions to increase sales online.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis on the best practices of key competitors and international eCommerce leaders.
- Produce weekly, monthly and seasonal reports as required.
To be successful in this role you must possess online and ecommerce experience, design competencies and have sound knowledge of HTML and CSS. Experience using the Shopify & Mailchimp platforms or similar is essential.
Naturally, you will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously. Highly developed organisational and time management skills including solid attention to detail will put you in good stead for this role. Candidates who share our passion for skate will have a natural advantage.
