More About The Brand - Carver Skateboards Australia
1995 was a banner year for Venice, California. Not only was the breakwater flat as a puddle, but Greg Falk and Neil Carver had also taken to the streets in search of hills to surf on their skateboards. The historic neighbourhoods of Venice and Santa Monica are a veritable skatepark of steep alleys and banks, and as they dropped in on those asphalt waves they were struck with how unlike surfing it was. Nevertheless, they persevered and discovered that skateboarding provided a unique form of transportation that was fast, efficient, and extremely gratifying. From there they started creating their signature surf-inspired shapes for their boards and the modern surfskate movement was born. It all began with one quiet summer in Venice, but it quickly became a way of life for Greg and Neil.
Carver Skateboards Innovative Truck Systems
Carver skateboards are known for their innovative truck systems. The front and rear trucks are mounted on different axes, allowing the board to turn more sharply. The axles are also offset so that the wheels sit at different heights. This gives the rider more control when carving, and also makes the board more stable at high speeds. Carver skateboards are also equipped with special bushings that allow the trucks to pivot more freely. This gives the rider a smoother ride and a greater sense of control. In addition, Carver skateboards have special risers that keep the wheels from rubbing against the deck, giving the rider a smoother ride and a better turning radius.
